That's right! Was it your mom who worked in a one room school house? I couldn't remember whose mom it was. I have benefited greatly from many of the public school teachers I have had the privilege to know. I still keep in touch with my English teacher from high school. He is a wonderful friend. He is so happy I am going in to teaching. His wife is also a teacher; she teaches first graders. I kept in touch with my 5th grade teacher and my Latin teacher, until their deaths. Some teachers have the ability to make you perceive they have changed your life. Whether they actually change your life, or whether they simply give you the impulse to change your own life, or whether it is just an illusion of the power of another person, it is a great feeling to meet some teachers.
