What Will Nicole Kidman Think Of Us? Dateline: Romania-- Gheorghe Voicu, the mayor of a small Romanian village, has banned drinking in public to avoid upsetting actress Nicole Kidman. Kidman is in the village of Potigrafu shooting her new film, Cold Mountain. During her stay, the mayor wants to stop drinkers from gathering at a World War II monument in the center of the village. The monument is a favorite drinking spot for many locals and is frequently covered in empty glasses or bottles. "It is not only a sacrilege for our war heroes, but what will Nicole Kidman think of us in case she sees people drinking alcohol next to a monument like this?" Mayor Voicu has instituted a $30 fine for people found drunk in public.
