What had me convinced was a hedge-fund guy in Barron's two weeks ago who said that stocks weren't cheap yet, but the market was way oversold and thus entitled to a leg up. Shrewdly, he set no price targets or time horizons.
Many seem to believe that the ultimate bottom is not in, that this will be a good-sized bear-market rally. They're basing that on history, of course, so we'll have to see in what ways this time is different.
