the guy behind the notorious Saudi briefing...fascinating...

That's really weird. Surely Perle has his own stable of guys who've been waiting for years to make such a presentation, and do a loving job of it too...why on earth did they promote this guy to do it?

The LaRouchie defector who's advising the defense establishment on Saudi Arabia.

That was nasty. Tags him with LaRouche at the top, then quotes LaRouche and wife blasting him at the bottom. I guess I will check out his articles in "National Interest" if available.

What's amazing is that this briefing was likely only one of a dozen or so that provided different perspectives. It's not like it is official US policy or something.

But I find it even more interesting that they pegged him as a LaRouche defector..

I recall just a couple of weeks ago I was at the DMV and ran across some "LaRoucheians" protesting against any US action in Iraq. They also had some very mean things to say about Sharon... :0)

I'm certainly not a LaRouche supporter and never have been. Yet, I perceive Saudi Arabia, and in particular, their Wahhabis, as the root of the extremist problem.
