16:47 ET ELX Emulex guides revenue lower (23.61 +1.26) -- Update --
On its conference call, company says it now expects Q1 (Sep) revenue and EPS of $68-73 mln and $0.16 vs Multex consensus of $74.7 mln and $0.16.. company also guiding fiscal 2003 (Jun 03) revenue lower to $305-$325 mln vs Multex consensus of $338 mln....However, company guides EPS higher to $0.70-$0.75 vs consensus of $0.70.... stock falling on guidance, now at 21.45.




16:45 ET OPTV OpenTV misses estimates (2.60 +0.01)
Reports Q2 (Jun) loss of $0.23 per share, $0.13 worse than the Multex consensus of ($0.10); revenues fell 37.7% year/year to $14.2 mln vs the $21.3 mln consensus; as of June 30, 2002, OpenTV had cash, cash equivalents and marketable debt securities of $166.4 million compared to $189.5 million as of December 31, 2001.

Reports Q2 EPS of $0.20, $0.09 better than the Multex consensus; revs were $22.8 mln, vs consensus of $18.3 mln. Co raises 2002 EPS forecast to $1.25-$1.35 from $1.15-$1.25 (consensus is $1.27).




16:09 ET WWCA Western Wireless reports Q2 results (2.48 -0.43)
Reports a Q2 loss of $0.38 a share, $0.03 worse than the Multex consensus. Revs rose 18% to $298.8 mln (consensus $293.51 mln). WWCA maintains 2002 stated domestic unlevered free cash flow guidance.




16:08 ET MERX Merix issues guidance (7.98 +0.69)
Co says that volume orders in the communications and high-end computing mkt segments are exceeding expectations; co now expects Q1 loss of $0.21-$0.23 on $23.5-$24.5 mln in revs (consensus is a loss of $0.25 and $22.6 mln in revs). Co announced it was raising guidance yesterday.

Posts Q4 pro forma net of $0.16, in line with the Multex consensus, vs yr-ago EPS of $0.11. Revs rose to $70.2 mln (consensus $70.14 mln), up 20% yr/yr and 1% sequentially.
