$20 would be chump change, in my experience.

I'm doing two things. First, I'm imputting all the CDs into an Excel spreadsheet, and putting the slot number both in the spreadsheet and on the jewel case. All the cases will be stored in the attic in order, so I can retrieve them when needed. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with all the booklets that accompany the CDs -- some of them I'll really need, like the Opera librettos, but that's still an unresolved question.

Second, the box has an imput for attaching a computer keyboard to do the typing, so that is helping tremendously.

Still, as you note, it's an awesome chore. I'm only up to about 120 so far.
