By no means. I am only arguing that if we wish a certain level of service, or become accustomed to it, it must be paid for, mainly by taxes. As it happens, most Americans want somewhat more, and certainly better, service, and although they have a right to demand greater efficiency in the use of tax dollars, only so much can be squeezed out of existing revenue to provide them with the level of service desired. They must make a choice, down the road, to accept fewer services, for the sake of tax cuts, or to pay somewhat more in taxes, for more services.
