Larry Dudash had an interesting post typecasting investors/traders as TYPE 1 or TYPE 2.

TYPE 1 - I think the market or stock is going to higher so I'll buy. - gut feel or predictive - subjective

TYPE 2 - If the stock does this, I will buy. - objective
This is like the DOW at 8800 giving a buy signal on PNF.

I can guess by looking at a chart that it should head higher, it doesn't care it does what it wants.

On the other hand, if I use a system like PNF or MACD or following the AJC indicator that puts the probabilities of success in my favor, I'm ahead.

I do NOT agree.

When Jerry has been wrong, he has admitted it, publicly. That puts him at the top of my pantheon. He is not a bullshitter. I imagine he makes money every day. Few can say that.

Heck, the guy is still here, trading every day. Anyoe who survived until now is special. I realize that includes me, but I'm biased.
