Oh, I didn't mean to trivialize what was posted (the threats) or anything like that. As you indicate in your post, what was done may indeed turn out to be a criminal act (time and the courts will decide), and appropriate counter-measures should, and likely will be taken in the future, to diminish the likelihood of any recurrences.

I presume the individual is a male, perhaps on the young side, and really didn't intend any physical harm to you (and others). Likely s/he was playing some sort of mind games with themselves. The important things are that the individual has been identified, the criminal legal process will now run its course, and the recipients of the threats suffered no physical harm, though I do understand that the mental angst caused by the threatening posts are in themselves a form of terrorism.

I agree that there is no justification for what this individual did. I had just been wondering if this person was known to you, or if s/he had some other reason for what they did, that's all. Your reply seems to indicate that the perpetrator was unknown to you, so therefore the individual had some other motive for what occurred.
