WorldCom Says It Found Another $3.3 Bln in Misstated Results
By Don Stancavish

Clinton, Mississippi, Aug. 8 (Bloomberg) -- WorldCom Inc., the bankrupt telephone company accused of fraud for hiding expenses since 2001, said it's discovered an additional $3.3 billion in misreported financial results in 1999, 2000, 2001 and the first quarter of 2002.

Clinton, Mississippi-based WorldCom made the disclosure in a statement. The $3.3 billion in misreported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization is on top of the $3.85 billion that the company already disclosed it improperly recorded in 2001 and the first quarter of 2002.
