some interesting market trivia re: "leaders"

Tuesday and Wednesday have seen gains in Cisco of 6.1% and 7.8% respectively. While the next day hasn't always been a gainer for Cisco, the Nasdaq usually tries to play catch up...

Q: How have Cisco (CSCO) and the Nasdaq (NASD) performed the day after Cisco gains more than 4.75% over the past two days?

A: There have been 19 prior occurrences of this event in the past,( going back to 7/13/90 ) skipping any repeat occurrences within 10 days, and the stock is pretty much 50-50 the next day, with perhaps a slight bullish edge. But the Nasdaq, by contrast, has gained ground in 15 of the 19 cases (78%) by an average of 1.1% the next trading day.

are we confused yet??<g>
