What do you know about me and my life's experiences that have caused me to align myself with the Democrats? I've been very successful in my life both financial and personally. I've traveled the world. I've enjoyed many good friends and a great family life. I've been called many things, but never a fool. 1) They wouldn't have lost the presidency if the Senate had impeached Clinton. Gore would have become President and Gore is a Democrat, remember? Gore probably would have won easily in 2000 as a sitting President. Shows how much you know. Everything you stated about the Democratic party is simply your opinion and nothing more. Where is your proof that the Democrats "Fabricated millions of votes nationwide in an attempt to steal a presidency that they had lost, and had NO right to." Or that they've conspired to prevent a stable black middle class from emerging? Something that appears to have occurred more so in the 1990s than any other decade in our nation's history. The Republican party certainly haven't been saints or defenders of the consitution. What about Nixon's interference with the Paris peace negotiations to end the Viet Nam war in 1968, which may have caused the deaths of 10,000s of American GIs as the war dragged on for 7 more years? What about Watergate, which was a direct affront to democracy and made the U.S. look like a banana republic. What about the secret deal between members of the Reagan's 1980 campaign and the Iranians to keep our hostages in captivity until after Reagan was inagurated (yes, I do think it happened)? What about Reagan's CIA that has now admitted that they allowed the Contras to smuggle cocaine into the U.S. (which helped fuel the crack epidemic in the mid 1980s) to fund the Contra resupply effort? What about the weapons the Repubs gave to Saddam Huessein in the 1980s that helped him build his military machine that he subsequently used in his invasion of Kuwait in 1990? The Dems might have skeletons in their closet, but so do the Republicans. Both parties are in the pockets of powerful moneyed interests. After a lot of thought and consideration, I've come to the conclusion that the Dems are the lesser evil party, since they are the party that has pushed for progressive social change over the years and is more aligned with my philosophy of personal liberties.
