Good point. It makes sense to temporarily give up some of our liberties as necessary to insure we have them to enjoy in the future....

It is true that during war some rights can and should be suspended. It needs to be explicit and public. This I don't have a problem with. If it is a matter of policy.

This case was simply covert. A symptom of the virtual one party rule in Canada these days.
