Josh, I guess I have just always been around dog breeds that weren't afraid of the water. Maybe you're talking about those lap dog kinda things, but I even had a Lhasa Apsos, that loved to play in the sprinkler, or rain puddles. Since that was in Houston, and he was not a show dog, he was kept fairly close trimmed and enjoyed the outdoors along with his border collie buddy. I, also, had a Norwegian elk hound that was a really fine dog. They are instinctively protective of their human families, and usually pick one member of the family to bond with.
