What many of you here fail to understand is that gold is in a secular bull market. We've had one leg, and another is underway. 2% treasuries have a tough time competing with a desired asset that is not someone else's liability. And most have made little attempt to understand the gold market. Mostly you just hear it dismissed as a relic or that "there's no inflation". Until recently a gold investor was usually dismissed as a nut and crackpot. I guess I've made a fortune in the last year being a crackpot? Thinking investors need to be looking a lot deeper (I'm amazed at the laziness towards and misunderstanding of gold) at gold's underlying issues.
