SatCon Gets $5M Pact From General Atomics

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- SatCon Technology Corp. (SATC) received a $5-million contract from closely held General Atomics Corp. to continue the development of integrated power systems for future Navy all-electric ship platforms. In a press release Wednesday Satcon, a power- and energy-management products maker, said the latest contract brings its total under the program to more than $12 million. Under this phase of the contract, SatCon plans to deliver 30 100-kilowatt modular, electrical power converter and control assemblies to be installed on a British research vessel.
SatCon is part of a contract team that includes General Atomics and Gibbs & Cox Inc.
