That's not "rare" (0.1% might be called rare, or 0.01%). In my former life as a CPA I have known many people who were impeded by it. Furthermore, I've had numerous business clients who were denied loans or other funding while lesser qualified MWOBs were granted funding. It is grossly unfair and contrary to the notion of rewarding people for their own success. And what do you call it when people are denied a loan or a job on the basis of their skin color or their sex but the stated reason is for something else if a reason is provided at all? ted
