What do the numbers include?

They are much higher than would be indicated by Front End Equipment sales.

As such comparing AMAT's sales to an unknown and trying to form a conclusion is likely to just cause confusion. Especially if the numbers include Back End, Test, Packaging, Materials, etc.

Did you check out other leading Front End equipment makers?
Did they also lose market share using your arithmetic?
Did they lose more, less or the same market share as you imply AMAT lost?

My guess is that you've calculated a completely meaningless ratio rather than gaining any insight into how well or poorly AMAT is doing during the downturn.

I could be wrong. ;^)
