Josh, Despite the fact that Rex chewed up the sheet metal, he was, and from what I hear, still is a gentle as a lamb, but he likes to play in a vigorous way, and sometimes forgets his own weight, and strength. I don't really care for the small yappy terriers either. They seem to be hyper all the time, but I have heard that comes from breeding them too fine for so many years. Terriers, like the Cairn, are actually working dogs. They were used in Scottland, and England, to climb into rock cairns to flush out foxes.

I had no idea that Dobies came from such a mix. I have seen a few Dobies that were really gentle, and playful, but if something snaps in their brain, their bite is so fast no human can keep from being bitten.
