If there history that is unedited?

Say I'm making an argument, for example, that drug A is better for reducing cholesterol than drug B. If I say that drug B causes liver problems and neglect to say that drug A also causes liver problems, that argument is compromised because it is biased, disingenuous, manipulative, or whatever.

In the piece we are discussing, the author said that team A was tainted by the bigoted origins but neglected to mention the bigoted origins of what team B is proposing, likewise compromising his argument.

I don't know what this has to do with history books.

Nor why it matters enough to still be talking about.
