Myth? You know in medieval Europe Christianity was the only legal religion (besides Judaism) for decades?

In England after Henry VIII, it was illegal to be a Catholic. In many nations in Europe at the time you either had to be a Lutheran or a Catholic (with an exception for Jews).

In Saudi Arabia right now the practice of any religion other than Islam is illegal. Converting a Muslim to another religion is worth your life. Possession of writings of other religions is illegal.

Myth? Only if history is a myth.

At the foundations
I find that sort of argument unimpressive. What creed isn't good if you look only at original intent?

Communism's original intent was quite good. Its practice was another matter.

The streets of Hell are paved with good intentions.

"Common myth. At the foundations of each of the major religions you find that the doctrine of each establishes religious tolerance as a requirement on believers. Religious people are no different than non-religious people"

Nonsense. Religious "Truth Texts" are predominantly violent, intolerant, and replete with bigotry. If you wish I can take you through any religious "Holy Book" in the world...one chapter at a time.
