The software industry is being equally disrupted right now. It just sees it coming and is running hard to adapt. The entertainment industry is using it's scale to defend it's turn. It is a sign of their demise that they cannot think innovatively as well as defensively.

Honest to gosh, I cannot see ANY industry which will not be disrupted over the next 20 years. Our societies ability to accept and manage the rate of change will determine how fast we can drive.

I had an idea today. I should start the first 'open source management consulting practise'. Health care, education, financial service, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, entertainment, technology, scientific research, travel, retail ... they are all going to be disrupted to one degree or another.

Of course, unless the current administration doesn't legislate and regulate innovation back to the dark ages.
