Hi Andy.

I was able to order Tragedy & Hope from Amazon about 9 months ago. Checking Amazon tonight, I see that it is still available, though it takes a few weeks to ship:

Yep, Bill Clinton mentioned Professor Quigley in his inauguration speech if I'm not mistaken.

The following quote from the back of his text provides a great summation to his book:

"The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching (plan), nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole"

Fast forward to the 1990's, the "Washington concensus", the IMF, World Bank, WTO, and other non-elected corporate-dictated bodies, corporate control of mainstream media, and you have the modern day attempt to realize the stated goal above. Frick, and I'm a Capitalist myself for god sake! Just think how paranoid I'd be if I was a Socialist, an Anarchist, a cheeser, or a Blue Jays fan!

An extraordinary book though, written by an extraordinary man.

Regards,
Glenn
