Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- The tenth extraordinary session of the UN General Assembly on the Palestinian situation should take practical measures to stop Israel's repressive moves and ensure the legitimate national rights of Palestinians and other Arab peoples. The DPRK delegate clarified this stand at the session on August 5, condemning Israel for its arrogant military attacks on the national authority of Palestine.
Attributing Israel's actions such as use of armed force to the patronage and backing of a specified country, he said the United Nations should make sustained efforts to settle the regional disputes in a peaceful way and prevent all forms of intervention and unreasonable pressure on other countries.
He continued:
Israel must promptly stop its terrorism against civilians and barbarous military aggression and other actions, which are wrecking regional peace and security in violation of international humanitarian law, withdraw its forces from Kuds and other Palestinian territory and all other occupied Arab territories and come out to the peace negotiations with Palestine at once.
On this occasion, the DPRK delegation extends full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Palestinians to defend their legitimate national rights including the right to establish an independent state as well as to other Arab nations in their struggle for a fair solution to the mid-east problem, he concluded.
