China will grow fast in a similar manner Japan and Germany did.

Germany and Japan grew at that fast pace in the post-war period because they didn't have to pay for military bureaucracy. China may have its military bureaucracy. But they are not draining funds to show off "power".

Ok, they fly once a while a couple of rockets from some boast to keep one of the biggest investor in mainland at bay: Taiwan.

But they are not making huge fleets to "defend" shipping lanes. Or spending scientists and engineering brain in gadgets.

The US is going down, mainly, because they couldn't extricate the economy from the military-industrial complex and the fat cat bureaucracy that lives off it. They tried. But they always come back to it. Like the Bush-it administration is doing.

Hi KC:

I haven't a faintest, it all sort of gets mixed up after a while to one single mass of half-memories(g).
