The first question must be a single question to a single farmer not to all three. Pick a single question and a single farmer at random.

I think I made the second question easier by naming the farmers, but that is OK.

Since you seem to be right on top of the situation now.
Lets make a restriction.
Farmers/Cannibals are
L for liar
U for uncertain
T for truth

the farmers do know which one is the liar, truth teller, and uncertain. They have no names (should not make a difference to you).

That is all you know, except you need to get to the right path/door to avoid the boiling pot or the dead end road.

You have the answer to the second question as to the future.
The second question could start either with "what would he, or what would you, or in the case where names were given ... what would adams". Its kind of interesting that the correct road/door to selecet will be the answer given or the opposite of the answer given depending on whether your question starts with "what would he" vs what would "you".

The first question should be easier.
A guarenteed way to weed out U so that the second question is always asked to T or L. There are two possible questions again, and depending on how you ask it you either take the answer given or you do the opposite.
