"so I don't care what people are thinking, or not thinking. I don't want to go there."

No disagreement there on broad principles. Of course, if I find that someone has been "thinking" about breaking into my home and assaulting me, he will probably find that I did indeed care about his thinking...ergo, the 12 guage. There is an intimacy between thinking and behaviour which I personally do not ignore, although the thinking itself is merely information, and is an essential component of being separate and free. History is replete with examples of individuals whom were tormented or killed because they dared to think...and to reveal their thoughts.
