If the FED decides to cut rates, will not bode well for the $

and if they don't the Stock Market and the bond market (which have anticipated a cut coming) will sell off sharply which will also be bad for the US$.... seems the FED may be stuck between a rock and a hard place.....

Terry >The threads are sure quiet! Must be an omen of things to come.

Like what, I wonder?

I'm quiet because I don't know what to say and I don't want to provoke any more contemptuous remarks about writing horse-shit.

Apropos gold, I cannot work out what is going on with the viscious up and down movements so I'm waiting to see what will happen. Here are John Murphy's observations.
murphymorris.com

"GOLDS FADE... Gold stocks continue to struggle. A month ago the XAU Index fell under its 200-day moving average -- which was one of the factors suggesting that the stock market had hit an "interim" bottom. As the chart shows, the XAU bounce is meeting with new selling near the 200-day average, which has become a resistance line. With the market on the rebound, it's not too surprising to see gold stocks in retreat."

I came upon this chart which someone made of High Priestess Abby Joseph Cohen's forecasts:

Of course, her prophesies and recommendations are not horse-shit.

'Nuff said.
