was just looking at Briefing rundown on the last Unemployment Rate Report...

Average Workweek: Real concern here. 0.3 hour (18 minute) decline to 34.0 hours. The workweek is a key leading indicator of payroll growth and provided a large and disturbing decline in July.

The pool of the uncounted unemployed is rising as the giving up rate is increasing. So if you maintain 5.9% but those giving up keeps rising means their are more unemployed than we think. i have never liked how they avoid factoring those that give up.Max
