Venezuela President Hugo Chavez Says He'll Close Some Markets Threatened by Unfair Trade

Venezuela joined other nations in criticizing steel import barriers adopted by the United States earlier this year. Chavez also has been a leading critic of a proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas, which he claims would benefit the United States and other industrialized nations at the expense of struggling Latin American economies.
