There is no doubt that the USA continues improve its efficient use of fuel. But these gains are not coming in areas where crude oil is used. Specifically I am talking about gasoline. Take a look at the data I posted on vehicle efficiency.

We have reduced demand for oil for power generation, and new power generation today maybe 50% more efficient than new generation from 30 years ago.

My point being, we have very significant power at the gasoline pump to influence our enemies.
