First of all, JLA, I said a long time ago that I don't believe anyone can be stalked on a public message board, and I extend that to say that no one can be run off a board, either.

So anything we talk about in this vein is purely hypothetical as far as I am concerned. I would never accuse you of running any one off, nor would I believe that you could even if you wanted to.

That said -- any and all situations can be compared. Lazarus told me some time ago that more than one gay person left his thread because of things I posted there. So I could be accused of running people off.

"Running off" people is not a matter of what the facts are. (And, in any case, "the facts" are always open to dispute and differing perceptions). "Running off" is mostly something that occurs in the eye of the beholder, or "victim" as it were.

Who was it that said recently (paraphrasing here), "You should ask Poet how she FELT about it."

I believe that was you.

We are on a slippery slope here when people's feelings are the key. On that basis, you and I could both be added to the list of run-off-ers .... or so it would seem anyway.
