I believe the sitting govts of the Arab countries do not have to be convinced that terrorists are bad. I think most of them get it, that even when they export the jerkwads to Afghanistan or Palestine, they risk some blowback someday, too. That's why we're getting some unprecedented levels of cooperation from places like Syria and Iran. And certainly, I can agree that some degree of arrogant loner rattling a big sabre can be useful in our quest. But so can the role of conforming to the rule of our own laws. It's a balance. And this time is one of those times where haste does not require ignoring that balance.
