From another thread -- TAXES. Don't EVEN get me started on this. Sure there is a price to pay for living in the kind of country America is, but as America has slowly become a nation of VICTIMS, so have those willing to work and not blame others for their problems taken it up the wazoo. If there was not so much waste and graft in American politics, perhaps everything would not have to be taxed 10 times before the American consumer finally purchased it. The local, state, and federal governments now take about 80% of all the money earned. And then you read about these crooks not wanting to take lie detector tests. If you just want to work and mind your own business today, the only way it is possible is to pay off the government, the low-lifes who refuse to work, the victims, the criminals, the corporations, the fed, the brokers, the analysts, etc. etc. The corporations and the government are part of the same game. It is a relatively few powerful people who view themselves as superior to the other 99.9% of the world. They exploit whatever and whomever they can. During a single legislative session U.S. congressmen take more than 3,000 corporate financed holidays. Both sides are so dirty. Where I differ from the "true" Americans and the "positive" people -- I am accused of being morbid, pessimistic, un-American. I am none of this. I just see things in a broader scope. Others see America through biased glasses they received from the same crooks who steal their wages and tell them to buy more stock. I look at America in terms of other fallen peoples. Almost every one that fell had their wealth concentrated into fewer and fewer hands. America (and the world) has turned people from producing their own food and goods and destroyed self-sufficiency and independence. The health of the economy is measured only by the amount of money flowing in it. The Fed has the power and ability to manipulate this at will. The prosperity is all a hallucination created by greed and paper nothings. Money is simply an agreement on the value of some medium of exchange used to regulate the producers and consumers of an economy. The government should issue or withdraw money from the economy only to balance this relationship. The United States was founded on this principle, and the founding fathers warned against implementing a debt-money system -- which has been terrible for everyone but the lenders since the beginning of time -- "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender," Proverbs 22:7. The Constitution only gave Congress the right to coin money. When Congress set up the Fed, they essentially set up a system to take money from the majority and put it in control of a few. The entire system is corrupt. What's humerous is, even those pulling the strings know they have created a mess that can only end one way (terribly), yet, they are powerless to stop it. Greenpan said in 1966 that EXCESS CREDIT (hence -- DEBT) is what caused the Depression. How has Greenspan been operating for the past 10 years? All unbacked, government created currencies eventually fail. The USA is at that point. When it fails, the world economies will fail. The USA is the last straw. I could go into Biblical prophecy at this point and explain why the world economies will have to fall, but I don't want to be accused of being a nut. Just keep watching. Nothing can stop it. Greenspan is powerless. The die has been cast. I remain, SOROS
