It has to be used to worship Islamically, as in, "There is no God but God." Don't the idolators who were using it before Mohammed have any rights? Why not? They were there first. I don't know when in history the meteor was supposed to have struck but erosion is the norm in that area so things may have changed. That's also true of the crater left by the comet that supoosedly killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Lots of erosion, And land rising and falling. Still, with the right people and instruments, you can tell it was there.
