don't know what part of the midwest your in but my son-in-law (a pilot for american airlines based in St. Louis)just got his furlough notice along with 8,000 other employees.
and get this - after our government bailed the airlines out with loans, american says there will be no severance pay because 9/11 was the cause of this.
Uh, isn't that why the government bailed them out???????
