ILFC is a subsidiary of AIG. From the AIG annual report:

"At December 31, 2001, ILFC's fleet of 508 aircraft included 471 aircraft for operating lease, four aircraft under finance lease and 33 managed aircraft. Approximately 80 percent of ILFC's fleet is leased to non-U.S. and Canadian carriers, and this fleet, the most efficient in the airline industry, continues to be in high demand from such carriers."
