Is there any evidence to suggest that people aren't "over" their prejudices?

I believe that largely, prejudices are a thing of the past. Now, lots of people have opinions about groups of people (for example, races) based on their observations.

You think people are "over" their prejudices? You're kidding, right? Tell that to the black guy in TX where some whites tied him up to their car and "ran" him until he died.......or you might want to tell the illegal that the police beat up in LA because he was, well, illegal......or may be the Jamaican they sodomized in a NYC police......or the gay guy in ID or WY where they crucified him or.....the list goes on and on.

Yeah, people are over their prejudices.......in someone's dreams.

This term prejudice gets tossed around a lot; but its fundamental characteristic is a "preconceived" notion, which for most of us, isn't present today. While there will always be a certain amount of "prejudice", I suspect white males are subject to more discrimination than are, for example, blacks who are supposedly the targets of racial prejudice.

Oh, I should have seen this coming.........that's right us white guys are getting it right up the butt. Just the other day they wouldn't serve me in a black coffee shop........and it was a Starbucks too......and I told 'em I was a liberal!!

If you want to talk about the fact that some groups of blacks or others have EARNED the discrimination they receive, that would be a different matter.

No one deserves to be discriminated because of their color, gender or religion and no one earns the right to be discriminated either. And like I said, prejudice is alive and well in these United States.
