Elmer: Or this one: Open-formula advocates will unfurl a legislative proposal next week to prohibit the state of California from buying soda from Coke or any other company that doesn't reveal its secret recipe. I predict this one will not go anywhere, even in whacko California. Any company with a proprietary product or manufacturing process could be forced to divulge its secrets. California would probably like to do away with patents, too, so everyone would have an equal chance to sell stuff invented by someone else. Adam
