If not, the process presumably will continue with Shanghai pay rates increasing [slowly] and Hong Kong pay rates dropping [quickly]>> Yes and No. Mostly yes, except I HOPE that a few meters of beach frontage in Freedom Hill Hong Kong will manage to hold its value, and I believe a few meters of beach front in Thailand will go up in value, all because of Shanghai.
