AMAT has issued 64 times the number of shares they had in 1992. To me, this is a factor when looking at the overall industry or AMAT specifically. I believe these splits should be taken into consideration when viewing AMAT's backlog from previous years (no matter how many exclamation points you put at the end of your statement<vbg>). I wouldn't say that the backlog per share is meaningless but feel free to do so yourself.
