Dan, That guy was, obviously, a retired drill sergeant. As he gave the instructions on the care, and maintenance, of the such-and-such model of the Sears electric garage door opener, he paced back and forth across the garage. I could almost see the swagger stick in his hand, so I have no doubt that his info could have been in error. At any rate, I no longer have to be concerned about that particular door, and there are not many closed garages around this part of the country, so no door to worry about now. Thanks for the info, anyway.
