SSP-Litronic Receives Order for Security Products from Technology Distribution Network; Contract to Secure PCs for Air National Guard Bases

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2002--SSP-Litronic, the government enterprise division of data security provider SSP Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:SSPX), today announced it has received an order for Argus 2500 FORTEZZA(R)-ready PC Card Reader/Writer and driver software to
be integrated with Technology Distribution Network's (TDN) desktop PCs for the Air National Guard. The contract award to TDN is the result of joint efforts by SSP-Litronic and TDN.
TDN will custom build 650 PCs for delivery, by September, to 93 Air National Guard bases in all 50 states as part of the National Guard Bureau's Security Forces Information Management System. The announcement was made at TDN's manufacturing facility in Buffalo, N.Y. U.S. Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), who toured the plant as the first
shipment was dispatched, attended the announcement. The National Guard order represents a new "win" for the TDN products and is based on the use of SSP-Litronic components in the products being delivered.

The Argus 2500 is specifically designed to work with the FORTEZZA
PC Crypto Card used for transactions and communication within the U.S.
Defense Messaging System (DMS). It connects to the PC through an
included PCI interface card, supports two 16 bit Type I/II PC cards or
one Type III PC card, and interfaces with memory (compact flash and
static RAM) and I/O PC cards (serial, parallel, fax/modem, NIC, and
ATA devices).
Both TDN and SSP-Litronic will be attending the AFITC conference
for the Air Force in Montgomery, Ala. beginning Aug. 26, 2002.
