With all due respect, I don't believe anyone knows anything. Those S&P PE ratios have been touted around for months already and the market virtually ignores them. IMO, the Plunge Protection boys or whoever has decided to support the market and they are, regardless of S&P PEs, fictional accounting, insolvencies, rogues running the companies or any other fundamental valuations or evaluations. Welcome to the new world, or is it, of fantasy investing.
