these companies have no problems telling the IRS how much the options are worth ..

I'm no hotshot executive with lots of options, but regarding the value of the options, every option I've received to date is underwater or expired underwater, even with a large number being repriced lower.

Call it my bad luck or whatever, but some of the argument of expensing options makes sense for tech companies, IMO.
