Of course they have nothing yet, but the stock is hanging around near its 52 week of .09 at .10 Canadian. Anyone have an opinion on this company? Monday August 12, 5:31 pm Eastern Time Press Release SOURCE: Quaterra Resources Inc. Quaterra Resources Inc.-Duke Island Airborne Survey Identifies Numerous High Priority Anomalies VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA-Quaterra Resources Inc. (QTA-TSX VENTURE) announced today that a recently completed helicopter-borne geophysical survey on its 100 percent-owned Duke Island Cu-Ni-PGE prospect in southeast Alaska has identified an extensive zone of potential sulfide mineralization system in an area of the 10 x 12 mile island where sampling and mapping has yet to be undertaken. In announcing results of the 891 line-kilometer survey, Quaterra said preliminary conclusions based on data received from contractor Aeroquest limited are as follows; * Areas of known mineralization generally fall within broad zones of anomalous conductivity that extend well beyond the limits of outcropping sulfides. * A total of 459 high priority anomalies were identified by Aeroquest, including 311 Type 1 anomalies with positive inphase response and a sharp, probable hardrock source and 148 Type 2 anomalies with a negative inphase and positive quadrature response (conductive magnetic anomalies). * The largest zone of conductive anomalies occurs on the north side of the Discovery Zone and extends for 2.5 kilometers in an east-west direction. This zone is well north of the area drilled by Quaterra last year and is located in an area where no sampling or mapping has been completed. All geophysical data is being interpreted by Quaterra's geologic consultant, and will be followed by field checking of the most prospective anomalies. Tom Patton, president of Quaterra stated that the company is extremely encouraged by the survey results which have identified a number of promising anomalies within a general area of known mineralization and permissive geology. Because the potential of the project has grown significantly, the company is initiating discussions with several major mining concerns relating to a possible joint venture relationship. The Aeroquest Limited helicopter-borne IMPULSE multifrequency electromagnetic and magnetometer survey was flown between July 5th and 8th, 2002 The electromagnetic system was a 6 channel frequency domain towed bird system. The survey was completed at a 200 metre line spacing (722 line kilometers) with 169 line kilometers of fill-in lines at 100 meter spacing in selected areas. The nominal EM bird terrain clearance was 30+ meters. Further information on the significance of the numerous conductive anomalies will be announced as soon as data analysis and initial field checking is complete.
