I have heard quite a bit about new camera attachments that will be better, probably in form factor and resolution.

This is actually a big advantage for the external solution. You can upgrade your camera without spending another $300. That being said....an integrated camera is still the best eventual solution.

I think one reason for the fact that Sprint is starting with an external camera is simply the fact that this is how the Korean handsets started out. They didnt have an integrated camera with a 1x handset for quite a while.

Coot. The fact that Sprint phones require purchase of a separate camera and include no GPS functions makes the whole launch a little disappointing. The whole purpose of the camera phone is to be able to snap vivid candid shots. I really wish they would hook up with BREW and take advantage of the software. The color on the A500 is very nice and I understand there are games. However, there could have been so much more.
