I thought the guy was finally pitching something I could agree with. Until he got to number seven, that is, which was take your kid to church every Sunday.

Now that sounds like a wee shift in your position from neutrality toward hositility.

I rarely agree with the Reverend myself .... but surely it is a stretch to imply that taking your child to a church every Sunday is harmful or bad fathering? Or that it would not be a proactively positive practice especially in the gang-ridden inner cities?

some people really need church Karen
some people tell me they would be absolutely awful without religion (even on SI people have used this argument- the "I would not be good without my religion" argument)
"Why should I be good it there is no God?" they say
for people who cannot figure out the answer to that question, Church is a GOOD thing
I want them there, I think
