The difference is that when its time to buy and hold you will. I seriously doubt that everyone who has been trained to the downside will be able to buy or hold when the time comes. So much of what I see are people taking a bearish position and then instead of testing it, they surround themselves with nothing but news and opinions to support that bearish position. This of course hasn't been difficult.

I'm not referring to anyone in particular out there, just a general statement of what I see happening. The people who will be able to adjust are going to be people like you, who are more interested in following companies than in assigning blame for your losses.

I asked Ah today when was it that SI turned into a site where almost no one discussed technology or the next big thing anymore? It seems the only stuff I see posted dwells on the negative aspects of the stock market rather then about the positive aspects of what this company is doing over that one. If you want to catch flames all you have to do is say something good about a company you are following. Everyone has gotten to the point where they only want to talk about bad news. I guess waking up with bombs in the portfolio for the last few years has put everyone (bull and bear) in a grumpy mood.
