Hi KJC, <<if things go too badly for you in Hong Kong, you can always relocate to London>> :0)

By the read of things, Hong Kong still has a long way to drop and London much more to gain. USD 200k cannot be exchanged for a free-standing Lava-partment with or without the flush; not even if it is government subsidized low-income housing; not yet.

I still vaguely remember the ggod old days (1980s) when a friend moved into an apartment that was part of a textile mill in Connecticut; the Colorado cave that sold for USD 27 million (turns out to be not good because of damp); and in HK, parking space 15 minutes from city center going for USD 100k.

Also, I remember at least two friends who had purchased old shrimp trawlers and converted them into their main residence. Venturing to these trawlers in pitch darkness in a rubber boat was clarifying for the alcohol soaked coconut. The girls loved those apartments on water.

I feel so educated by these repeated manias and speculative excesses. Beats a college education, truly;0)
